Too often we think that sacrifice is simply giving up something we want in return for something else. And, it's usually in return for something that is deemed "better", but might not be more desirable to us or beneficial right now. We sacrifice our time (which we want) for money (which is supposedly better than our freedom).
But then there are those things that aren't really a sacrifice at all. The things that really are worth the trade-off. We really end up trading something that's mediocre for something that's great. We "sacrifice" our time (which we have a lot of if we use it wisely) for the freedom to run our own business, do things our own way, run our own life (which would take up our time anyway).
Is that really a sacrifice? Sure doesn't seem like it.
Are you trading something that's only so-so for something that's going to be exceptional?
Stop complaining about all the sacrifices you make, because, in reality, you're probably just trading up. With little risk, no actual loss, and no actual sacrifice.
So where are you making the real sacrifices?
